It’s been a while since I posted and these pictures are already over a week old but I thought I would share them anyway. Goshen was rocked by a murder on Oct. 9, when a Goshen College professor and his wife were attacked in their home by an intruder. The professor, James Miller, was killed and his wife seriously injured.
That evening (the attack was at about 1 am), the Goshen College campus came together for a candle light vigil. The college is a Mennonite-based college and Mennonites are a very peaceful religion and practice steadfast pacifism and Miller himself was a Mennonite, making the situation all the more tragic.
As the community continues to heal and the police look for suspects, I find myself covering events I’ve never had to cover before. It’s unfortunate but it comes with the job. Here are some pictures from the Oct. 9 vigil.
